‘Wild.Life.2’

“Painted at the time of the early Ukrainian invasion, the colour of her lips and eye are in homage to their plight. I did not mention this to anyone at the time, as it did not feel right to do so. In face here is the first time I have mentioned it.
 
Now using colour to augment Indian Ink, this is an image of fiery animalistic determination. I particularly love this piece, and learned a lot about art from drawing her too. She will always be on my wall.”

Painted exclusively in ROYGBIV acrylic, the colours of the rainbow (Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet) with a touch of white (which is definitely allowable in this instance!) .. and one of my favourite pieces.”

‘Face Into The Blue’

“Technically speaking, I absolutely loved drawing then painting her, she is done in the more ‘simple’ looking style that Screen Printing offers, but she is not screen printed at all – is completely hand painted – and was anything but simple to pull off! Especially to get an even colour finish while fine cutting in every line at the same time, and with multiple colours. I tried to capture the feeling of facing something new or unknown, perhaps reflecting on a sadness. There is a raw beauty in all emotion, that personally I love, and this is what she represents to me.”

What Size to Buy?

Rossy is frequently asked about sizing.

The painting on the left of the first picture is the A3, in an A2 frame. The painting on the right is the large canvas size 1000x750mm.

The painting Rossy is standing beside is the Extra Large Canvas size 1350x900mm.

All personally checked, signed and numbered. Ready to hang!

“Another massive labour of love, probably one of my biggest truth be known, definitely at the time. Only Star Man took more to do.
 
Reminiscent of my high school years in Technical drawing. She is definitely a statement piece.. that I thoroughly enjoyed. I lost count of the hours/weeks I spent on her. I did not draw for a while after it took so much out of me! I love her, and all her hard to spot imperfections.”

“Painted not long after ‘Twiggy’ and I am sure with lots of Abba-esque music playing in the background, Disco was my piece only using brush. In hind sight, using a black medium would have been smarter; in this case the gold sliver and crimson were painted first, then the black then painted AROUND them! Fun and sassy, she definitely lights up any space”
